An escalating tensions and conflict have been reported in the Fantaallee district, East Shagar of Oromia, an intense fighting was reported between the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) and the Prosperity Party (PP) forces. In retaliation to the continued attack by the OLA on PP forces, the latter has been reported to taken attacks against civilians. FNN sources reported that on March 11, 2026, the PP forces injured 3 individuals and killed an Oromo youth named Saydo Mulu who had been tortured in their custody in the Fantalle districty of East Shagar. The Fantaallee  district has been the site of several incidents of violence and human rights abuses, with the majority of these atrocities reportedly committed by the PP forces.
